1. World Englishes is a term for new localized or indigenized varieties of the English language, especially varieties that have developed in territories influenced by the United Kingdom or the United States.
2. Given the features of the social dialects of Great Britain, the so-called standard language is of particular interest to us. Most native speakers perceive received pronunciation as the pronunciation of educated people with a fairly high social position. Prestige RP, served to be defined as the standard language for education and television and radio broadcasting. Its synonyms include concepts such as Queen's English, Oxford English and BBC English.
3. Here are some dialects of the English language found today in England: Scouse, Geordie, East England, Birmingham, Cornwall, Cumberland, Central Cumberland.
4. North American English is a collective term for dialects of the United States and Canada. The United States does not have a specific “standard” accent in the same way that Britain received pronunciation. In Canada, there are three main dialectal areas: Western / Central Canada, coastal areas and Newfoundland. The most prominent and stigmatized US regional accents are the New York and Southern accents.
